Inverter vs fixed speed: We install inverter-driven ducted systems as standard. They adjust compressor speed to maintain temperature rather than switching on and off — quieter, more efficient, and easier on your power bill. Zoning lets you cool only the rooms in use, reducing running costs significantly.

Heat recovery VRV: Advanced systems can simultaneously heat one zone and cool another using recovered energy — dramatically reducing running costs in buildings where both heating and cooling are needed at the same time. Ideal for large homes, offices and mixed-use spaces.

Inverter vs non-inverter: Non-inverter (fixed speed) units cycle on at full power then shut off — cheaper upfront but noisier and less efficient. Inverter units throttle continuously to hold your set temperature. We supply and install inverter models only — the running cost difference pays for itself quickly.

What a service includes: Filter clean and inspect, coil clean (indoor and outdoor), refrigerant pressure check, drain line flush, electrical connection check, thermostat calibration, and a full system run-test. A dirty coil alone can cut efficiency by 20–30%.

Common faults we fix: Refrigerant leaks and regas, iced-up coils, faulty capacitors and fan motors, blocked drain lines, PCB failures, remote and controller issues, and noisy compressors. We carry common parts to minimise return visits.

What affects the quote: Room size and ceiling height, insulation quality, number of external walls, north/west-facing aspect (much harder to cool), existing wiring and power, and preferred brand. We explain every factor so you know exactly what you're paying for.
